Create, customize, and animate
Buddy Revival lets you make a 3D cartoon character using the original BuddyPoke character resources. Customize hair, facial features, colors, outfits, and accessories. Then bring the character to life with 39 moods and 28 two-character interactions.
The editor includes GIF and MP4 export, reusable buddy codes, and independent customization for a second character. There are no accounts, credits, or subscriptions.
A preservation project
BuddyPoke was part of the social-web experience on services such as Orkut, MySpace, and hi5. Buddy Revival preserves the character customization and animation experience in a modern browser, without requiring the Flash plugin.
It is an independent project. It does not restore the original social networks, friend lists, or accounts. The original BuddyPoke artwork, character data, animations, and texts belong to Buddy Labs.
Built to work in your browser
Character rendering, outfit changes, and animation exports happen on your device. Looks and optional names are saved in your browser when local storage is available. Copy a buddy code if you want to keep a look or move it to another device.
The interface supports mouse, touch, and keyboard controls. Browser support for video encoding varies; when MP4 is unavailable, you can use GIF export.
